STAR2002 through LIDO has negotiated special rates with the Holiday Inn (at the conference centre), the Sheraton Hotel a short stroll along the riverbank past cafes and shops to the conference centre, the Savoy Hotel also adjacent to the conference venue, and the Victoria Hotel. The Victoria Hotel is a gracious older-world hotel situated in the heart of Melbourne some 5 blocks from the conference venue. It provides better than student accommodation but at somewhat similar rates.
All hotels have been chosen for their ease of access to the conference centre and their centrality in Melbourne.
