The International STAR Conference is the annual conference of the Stress and Anxiety Research Society which is a multidisciplinary, international organization of researchers from more than 35 countries interested in stress, coping, anxiety and related emotions. Each year since 1980, an international STAR conference has been organized in various parts of the world. The 19^th of these conferences of the STAR will be organized by the Bogaziçi University of Istanbul, Turkey, between July 10^th and 12^th, 1998.
 

We would like to welcome you to the 19^th International STAR Conference which we hope will be an enriching intellectual and professional experience donated with some unforgettable memories of joy and happiness in a historical city which joins the two continents.

CONFERENCE VENUE   All Conference sessions and registration will take place at:  Bogaziçi University South Campus Bebek 80815 Istanbul, Turkey	IMPORTANT DATES  Deadline for Submission of proposals:  January 31st , 1998.  Deadline for Early Registration : May 15th , 1998  Only the abstracts of contributors who have  registered by May 15th , 1998 will be included in the final program.  Notice of Acceptance : March 1st , 1998.
